We have two Midgeater Plus machines at our hotel and they have made a tangible difference to staff and guests alike. Prior to purchasing our Midgeaters, our terrace was simply unusable, and we felt we were wasting a valuable commodity.

As The Herald's self-appointed midge correspondent, I can confirm the terrible news: midges have invaded Milngavie and Bearsden. Already friends there, appalled at having to cope with something they can't blame on the council, the police or the neighbours, have offered to rent my Midgeater.
We have refused because the machine has started working like a dream. In just two days the bag has filled up with a zillion dead insects. A huge swarm of midges hovers constantly around the machine, stacking up in the sky, like tea-time flights over Heathrow, just waiting to be sucked into the bag.
We are not entirely midge-free outside the house, and no doubt a certain percentage of the machine's impact is psychological, but equally I can attest that it helps make life in the garden bearable.
